August 2011 in Dublin, NH

Nancy Aldrich sent me the following exciting announcement today. Note that the events are this weekend!

AUGUST 2011 COMMEMORATION EVENTS AT THE DUBLIN INN
Dear friends,

The Baha'is of the Monadnock Region send their loving greetings and warmly invite you to our celebration of the 99th Anniversary of the visit of Abdu’l-Baha to Dublin, New Hampshire. This annual event offers Baha'is the opportunity to meet together to pray and to enjoy the beauty of the Dublin Inn and its lovely surroundings, where Abdu’l-Baha stayed for several  weeks during July and August of 1912.  We encourage you to extend a personal invitation to family, friends, and seekers, and to Baha'is who do not have access to email.

This year we are offering 2 programs.

On Friday August 5th we will have a short program commemorating 'Abdu'l-Baha's talk here at the Dublin Inn, starting a 6:30 PM, followed by dinner at 7:00 PM.  This is a fund raiser for the National Fund.  Everyone is invited to join us for dinner but of course only the Baha'is will be able to contribute to the Fund.  Friends who can are encouraged to bring a dish to share.

On Sunday August 7th at 3PM  we will commemorate Abdu'l-Baha's talk at the Dublin Community Church.  A reception at the Dublin Inn will follow at 4 PM.

The Dublin Inn is located at 1265 Main Street (Rt. 101) Dublin, NH
just east of the Dublin General Store. The Dublin Community Church is also located on Main Street, one mile west of the Dublin Inn, at the top of Dublin Hill.

All programs are free and open to the public.
