January 5, 1913 Dinner with a Maharajah

Earl Redman writes (in Abdu'l-Baha in Our Midst):

On 5 January ‘Abdu’l-Bahá had dinner with the Maharajah of Jhalawar. The Maharajah spoke fluent English and they discussed the elevation of the women in India, aviation, dispelling prejudices in India, and the Aryan race. The Maharajah stayed till 10.30 p.m. Later, on 18 January, he hosted the Master, Lady Blomfield and her daughters for dinner.[i] The Maharajah was also at the railway station when ‘Abdu’l-Bahá departed for Paris.[ii]
